What Should You Do After You Hear God’s Voice?
You believe God has spoken to you. Now what do you do with what you heard?
In this teaching from our 12-Week Journey of Transformation, Jeffrey Paul takes you into the next practical step: learning how to use Scripture to test, clarify, and confirm what you sense the Holy Spirit speaking to your heart.
Using a simple example of worry, Jeffrey demonstrates how to take what you’re hearing and search the written Word of God for confirmation. You’ll see how Rhema—the quiet prompting of the Holy Spirit—and Logos—the written Word of God—work together, and how Scripture can bring clarity and confidence to your ongoing dialogue with God.
Through 2 Timothy 3:16–17 and other Scriptures, Jeffrey also shows why God’s Word isn’t simply something we read. It teaches, corrects, trains, and helps renew the way we think and live.
In This Teaching, You’ll Discover:
• What to do after you believe you’ve heard God’s Voice
• Why what you hear should be confirmed through Scripture
• How Rhema and Logos work together
• A practical way to search Scripture when you need clarity or direction
• How the Holy Spirit brings revealed knowledge and understanding
• Why journaling helps connect what you’re hearing with God’s written Word
• How Scripture helps us take thoughts captive
• Why speaking God’s Word throughout the day matters
• Why inspiration alone doesn’t create lasting transformation
• How to begin putting these practices into your daily life
📖 This Week’s Scripture
2 Timothy 3:16–17
Scripture is God-breathed and useful for teaching, correcting, rebuking, and training us in righteousness. Jeffrey shows how this gives us a Biblical foundation for testing what we hear and allowing God’s Word to shape our daily lives.
✍️ This Week’s Challenge
Choose something you are facing this week. Search Scripture for what God’s Word says about it. Read several verses slowly until one stands out. Write it in first person, speak it out loud, and journal what you sense the Holy Spirit showing you.
Then take time to listen. Write down what you hear and return to Scripture for confirmation. Jeffrey encourages you to carry that Scripture with you throughout the day and return to it as a reminder of what God is speaking into your life.
